Avantages

- Great stepping stone toward other jobs - Helpful co-workers - Free soda and snacks

Inconvénients

- Pay is far too low. It will be around 20k below the industry average. They will feed you the reason for such low pay is because you are learning while getting paid but many other companies also train you and pay you much more than what you are worth. - Management gas lights you. One of the core pillars of their culture is to speak up. Be very careful on how you speak up as some of the managers do not take criticism of the company very well. This core pillar is very much a lie. - Be prepared to do an unreasonable amount of tickets and more if you are the top performer. Other lazier people's tickets will get offloaded to you if you get your work done quickly. There is no reason to do well to perform well unless you want to be an "Extra Rockstar" as there are no bonuses for a job well done. - There is and will be travel involved from time to time and they will pull people out of different departments therefore the lack of employees already makes this even harder to complete the ticket load. Also, the people that do travel, do not get compensated enough for the extra hours that you put in. - There is a Toxic culture of recognition from upper management applauding those who work extra than their 9-6 job. Yep, no bonuses, just a pat on the back on a job well done. Management has their eyes on these people as they will be their first line of contact to abuse the amount of extra work they have to offload. - Recently many people have quit and even more recently a lot of people were fired from their job positions as they were not considered as "RockStars" of Tech-keys. - They hate remote work. The CEO called that this "remote work" made tech-keys employees lazier. If you want to work for this company, just know they will want you in the office unless you are in another state that helps out on clients' sites. - Good luck getting promoted. There is certainly favoritism in this company towards a certain group. You'll have to find out when you visit the company. - There is a huge turnover rate of employees. And for good reason. - Be prepared to be on the phone for 7-8 hours a day with clients draining the ever-living life out of you. - Once you are on tier 2, you will be on a rotation for on-call. That's right, you can get called up at 2:30 AM in the morning to help solve a nurse's IT issue. - You do not really get to learn during your time in Tech-Keys as many of their instructions for their services are not detailed enough to be considered as learning material. You learn how certain clients operate and what to punch in on these third-party services. This sums up a portion of the experience. If you are applying for this job, I would recommend using this as a stepping stone as it will leave a very bad taste in your mouth in IT. There are much better IT companies to work for that will pay you for what you are worth and will treat you much better with far less workload.

Avantages

Some of the biggest pros of working here are the company culture and the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies. I’ve really enjoyed gaining exposure to different systems and tools and the experience has helped me grow both technically and professionally. We are always willing to help each other out and that there is a strong sense of teamwork. It also feels like everyone has a positive attitude, which makes it easier to communicate, solve problems, and actually enjoy the work day!

Inconvénients

I do not have any cons that come to mind. If I ever have an issue, I feel comfortable enough to communicate them with my manager and know it will be handled promptly.

Avantages

I occasionally take time to read through reviews, and after seeing some of the more negative ones, I felt compelled to share my perspective. In my experience, many of those criticisms don’t accurately reflect what it’s like to work here. Some seem to come from individuals who may not have fully taken advantage of the opportunities available to them. The workplace atmosphere is genuinely unique. There’s a strong sense of energy and engagement, whether it’s a well-stocked break room, regular team events, or the overall positive environment. It’s clear that effort is put into making this a place where people enjoy coming to work. As a fast-growing MSP, the pace can be demanding at times, and workloads can get heavy. But that’s also part of what makes it a great environment for growth. If you’re looking to be challenged, develop new skills, and take on meaningful responsibility, there’s a lot to gain here. Management is supportive and invested in employee development. Recognition is given frequently, and it doesn’t go unnoticed, it genuinely contributes to morale and motivation. Overall, this is a place where you can grow quickly if you’re willing to put in the effort and embrace the pace.
