Avantages

Working at Message Agency has been one of my favorite work experiences. The team is super collaborative and open to new ideas. Employees are able to maintain a work life balance. The clients have wonderful missions and are exciting to work with.

Inconvénients

It definitely takes a certain kind of person to work at Message Agency. You have to be proactive, willing to learn, and wear multiple hats. Since a majority of the clients are non-profits, Message Agency tends to operate similarly as one. This was not a con for me personally, but just a note that it's not a fit for everyone.

Avantages

Small size allows employees to gain experience in a variety of areas. Can get hands-on experience, especially as a new or young professional.

It's interesting how many of the negative reviews posted here have been taken down or removed. I came to Message Agency looking forward to working for an organization that worked for local non-profits and organizations committed to doing good in the community. The client roster lived up to my expectations, but Message Agency as an organization did not. In the past year, over 50% of the agency quit. During most of my time there, most of the team members were good people. All of the negativity around working for Message Agency is directly due to Management practices. There is a S trong culture of distrust, and a complete lack of commitment to employee well-being. There is a complete lack of professionalism. Every bit of feedback or unique opinion that differs from Management's is taken personally, and met with an almost aggressively defensive stance. For Management, business is personal (see actual articles quoting them on the topic), which is good in theory, but not in practice when they cannot separate the personal from the professional. I could go on, but the one remaining negative review seems to cover everything I would have said. I will leave it at this: I could not in good conscience recommend Message Agency as a good place to work, period.
