Avantages

- work with some incredibly skilled and talented individuals. - decent salary, benefits, perks, office

Inconvénients

- Unrealistic quality/output expectations: You're under constant pressure to meet unsustainable quality/output expectations set by the CEO, leading to a sense of fear, inadequacy, and anxiety. Burnout: You're not allowed to talk about this, but you're expected to work long hours to meet "incredibly high standards" (one of the values). - Too many middle managers: Middle management is scrambling to appear valuable. Many of them don't know what they are doing and will be quick to throw you under the bus rather than take responsibility or accountability for their lack of ability and effective management. - Excessive critiques: Expect your work to be heavily scrutinised by way too many middle managers with nothing better to do. - Toxic feedback culture: Feedback and performance review processes may seem transparent and constructive, but be prepared for unfiltered secondhand feedback that will leave you blindsided, confused, and disheartened. - Do not fail: There is zero room for mistakes. Do not show any signs of weakness or inability as you can be sure it will be used against you when they want to. - Forced exits: Employees are constantly being forced out if they fail to meet the CEO's unsustainable expectations, contributing to a high-pressure atmosphere. You will see people regularly leaving the company with no explanation. It's horrible.

Avantages

One of the biggest positives is the opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact projects. The company provides access to the right tools, resources, and support needed to do great work. As a senior engineer, I feel trusted to think critically about problems, challenge assumptions, and help reframe solutions when needed. Stakeholders and the broader business are receptive to feedback, which creates a strong environment for collaboration and problem-solving. When blockers come up, my manager and the organization move quickly to remove them. Overall, it’s a fast-moving, high-trust environment where strong engineers can make a real impact.

Inconvénients

The pace is very fast, which can be a challenge depending on how someone prefers to work. Priorities, tools, and ways of working can change quickly, and it requires a willingness to adapt, learn, and rewire how you approach problems. For people who prefer slower, more predictable environments, the pace may feel intense at times. However, for those who are comfortable with change and motivated by momentum, it can also be one of the most rewarding aspects of the company.

Avantages

Founders are still involved and will help on top accounts; competitive compensation; access to the tools one needs; no apparent shortage of money; good breakfast

Inconvénients

Silent layoffs; lack of trust by leadership; senior management is poor at defining and communicating expectations; the fast pace of hiring leads to confusion and ever evolving priorities; tiger teams start haphazardly and end quickly creating uncertainty across the company; a once strong team-first culture has weakened as the company collaborates less and become more corporate; benefits have been reduced; poor professional development; the ferocious pace negatively slows enablement; c-level strategy changes often because ICP changes regularly; employees no longer are a top priority as investor interests have taken center stage; an old company value of 'We go further together' was never replaced with anything about working as a team which is another sign of the diminishing culture
