Avantages
Alias Intelligence is hands down one of the strongest companies in the investigative industry right now, especially in how it’s embracing and advancing modern technology. The way the team is thoughtfully integrating AI into investigative workflows is extremely forward-thinking, and the organization continues to evolve as the technology itself evolves. Alias is clearly operating at the leading edge of where the industry is going, rather than playing catch-up. Additionally. the camaraderie here is on a completely different level compared to the previous investigation firm I’ve worked for. There is significantly more transparency, clearer communication, and far more honest expectations around workload and work-life balance. What really stands out is that C-level executives regularly take time to join team meetings, which I had never experienced before! That level of leadership visibility creates a genuine boots-on-the-ground understanding of the people, rather than leadership being distant/siloed behind constant executive meetings. As I mentioned, I joined Alias after moving from a direct competitor, and the difference in values was immediately noticeable. One of my biggest struggles as an employee has been balancing military responsibilities with full-time work. However, Alias has been extremely supportive of my military service as a federal reservist. They've been highly flexible with my military obligations, even during periods of uncertainty like the recent government shutdown in 2025 that disrupted schedules across the entire military. That level of accommodation and respect for service is rare, and it speaks VOLUMES about the company’s values. Everything discussed and promised during on-boarding have all been fully delivered! Health, dental, and life insurance benefits were clearly communicated and provided, PTO policies are transparent and genuinely honored - even alongside military responsibilities. And there are meaningful opportunities for additional individual training! There have been no surprise changes or shifting expectations after joining, and whenever adjustments were necessary, adequate training and support were provided to ensure a smooth transition. Lastly, my favorite thing about this company is how much the internal SOP framework that was built for all employees. The internal SOP that Alias has is EXCEPTIONALLY thorough and well-structured. Procedures are clearly documented, consistently applied, and regularly referenced, which removes ambiguity from day-to-day work and sets clear standards for quality and expectations. Would highly recommend joining Alias!
Inconvénients
Because the role is fully remote, there's an initial adjustment period for getting up to speed with day-to-day expectations. It took some time to fully internalize workflows, communication rhythms, and productivity standards without the benefit of in-person onboarding. That being said, the learning curve is manageable precisely because the SOP and expectations are clearly documented. The workload can also be heavy at times, which may feel demanding for those new to the pace of due diligence work. However, managers and teammates are consistently available and willing to help, and there is no sense of being left to figure things out alone. Support is readily accessible once you ask for it.
