Avantages

Project manager was nice and professional

Inconvénients

Earlier reviews about inexperienced employees, poor communication/transparency, and low benefits are correct. I was hired two months ago to work at a federal client site. HR/Recruitment lied to me by telling me my start date would be ASAP and they told me to resign from my current job. As I am writing this review, I still don’t have a start date because they made multiple mistakes in the on-boarding process (spelling errors, missed deadlines set by federal client). SID’s incompetent was a blessing in disguise; I got so fed up with their unprofessional/ lackadaisical work ethic that I began searching for new work and got another offer that pays over 50% more per year. SID initial starting salary/benefits are a joke and way below market rate for tech positions. Despite this, I was willing to work for them but I lost trust and confidence in the way they operate.

Avantages

This is a good company if you're looking for a first job. For entry level the salary was around $55,000 to $60,000. I really enjoyed it here in the beginning. There is room for promotions within the company if you learn new languages and take on new roles. Both the federal and contractors in my office were incredibly friendly and I made good connections. My contract was one of the best I could have landed on.

Inconvénients

Depending on the contract's lifespan, it is difficult to get a promotion, which is the only way to get more than a 2% salary increase. Myself and others have had issues with HR. After a foreseen contract closure and termination, the representative dodged a lot of questions I and the other employees had. To be fair, this is a time of uncertainty (2025) for everyone and the company. However, they failed to communicate important PTO policy that affected us until it was too late. HR would also be hard to get a hold of, over email or phone.
