No matter how hard you work, how much effort, or even showing initiatives, the company will just NEVER offer a promotion, you have to ask for it - and make sure you indicate an amount, otherwise they'll only give you a pretty LOW promotion (at best). But pretty much you will just get something indicating that you're leaving Even though you have created a good reputation of yourself, you might not get the flexibility of remote work or at least home office just out of nowhere There are a couple of people who are "good enough" for the job, but every time an issue with their work comes up, the direction will just cover them up, pretty much people who feel comfortable but don't really care about the work, best practices, good engineering, well, grow professionally in general, these people have caused a lot of troubles in a lot of projects, making everyone else work more because of their mistakes, and no actions have been taken so far regarding this situation Overall bad management. So for the most part the COO and CEO are pretty flexible and understandable, however, the rest of the people before them just don't take good decisions, and at the end of the day it's the team who struggles way too much within the projects because of such decisions There's no real way to grow, there's no educational content, bench time to properly study to prepare for a certification or change on the technology stack being used, or anything of this nature. So at the end of the day, you just have to deal with everything as the projects require
