Avantages
The owner is great person, very humble and down to earth. Everyone under him is a different story. Small company so you learn all kinds of things. Most of the team is very helpful and kind people. They are good to their clients and customers. They take their business seriously.
Inconvénients
Have to wear different hats. Sometimes technical people are pulled in to help out procurement or accounting department. 8-5 working hours with unpaid mandatory 1 hour lunch even if you don't take lunch. Management have every one believe that it is THE LAW and it has to be that way. When proven otherwise with VA laws and citations, the hours were still cut from my pay. Very clear class division, upstairs office people mostly uptight and difficult to talk to and behave as if they own the world. The people in the warehouse are treated like peasants and they are most pleasant folk to be around. Suffocating culture, if granted another opportunity, every employee is ready to leave. When working for billable clients, ACC promises commission, yet those commissions are never itemized and there is no transparency. They just give you whatever they feel without any details and most of the time their calculation is far below what the employees expect based on their hours worked. It seems the project managers pocket most of the commission. They ask you to "help out" so and so in another department because they are swamped. Once you do, that task becomes your job for the rest of your days there and you are yelled at and disrespected and threatened to be let go if you should not oblige.
